What it is we share

I decided to take the day off, but "shhh", don't tell anyone! It was a last minute decision, made this morning, when I decided I'd be better off not making half-hearted calls on my customers. No, I'm not just playing hookie, I'm actually taking a vacation day and have no plans.

Sometimes I think about what it is that we share, when we blog, and what it is we want to share, or need to share, or maybe should share, but are too afraid of just putting it out there. A good friend of mine, who I hadn't talked to in a while, told me that she had read my blog and thought I was so on top of things and had it all put together. Part of me laughed and the other part wondered what it was I was doing wrong with my blog. Well, I am quite sure that the things we need advice on, the parts of life that tug at our hearts, are never written, and only sometimes shared. I'll be the first to admit that I'd be afraid to write openly about just whatever unless I was writing anonymously.

I'd like to shine the spotlight on another good friend of mine, Jennie Fiechtl, also known as Jennie B, who has taken her blog to the next level. She may not be putting it all out there, but she's definitely putting out a lot more. And I love her little red couch by the way. Go on, take a seat on it.

I'll put this out there... I woke up crying this morning and decided I'd do more harm than good by making calls. So there. I notice how important it is to lean on the fellowship of your friends when you need it most, especially when I live in a town without them. Check out my friends' blogs to the right. And, don't worry about me, I'm going to go to the bakery and get a pedicure. Gonna be just fine!

Oh Casey! I'm sending a HUG your way! I have thought the same things you have about sharing when posting. There have been times when I have just wanted to either rant or ask for help with something I was dealing with at the moment, but was too scared to either scare the few readers I have away or didn't want to sound like I was complaining about things. You know I'm always there for you and just a phone call away! Have a wonderful day!!! Love ya!!

Casey, good for you for taking a mental health day! Sometimes you just need it. I wish I was there at the bakery with you RIGHT NOW. We'd drink cappucinos and have yummy pastries. We'd smile and giggle about life. We'd share the things you just can't share in writing on the blog.

I know how it is being away from all your friends! I was lucky to have one of my best friends ever come visit me from North Carolina two weeks ago. It was so refreshing!

Leah and I will be coming to visit you in the Spring. I really can't wait!

Isn't it funny how our soul tells us to just take a break sometimes? I hope you enjoyed your cupcake and pedicure. Rest assured my dear Casey, that we all wake up and/or fall asleep crying some days....its what makes the good times so good.
